Steel Mace
I personally handcraft each steel mace to be rugged, durable, and comfortable to swing. The welds are strong and the handles are smooth and comfortable for heavy workout training or flow practice. Every mace shown here is a unique one of a kind piece. As I make each mace I will post it on this page. They will be sold on a first come first served basis. If you see something you like and want to make it yours, take note of the item number and then go to the "Contact & Purchase Instructions" page and follow the instructions to make your purchase.
The steel mace is a modern version of the Gada, an ancient training tool used by Indian Kushti (wrestlers). It's first use dates back to 13th century Persia and was used by Pehlwani wrestles to build strength and coordination. The modern steel mace is quickly gaining popularity as a fitness tool as it offers endless training benefits for athletes, martial artists, and fitness enthusiasts. It's also a very effective tool for rehabbing injuries with it's unique ability to help the user improve strength, flexibility, and mobility in muscles, as well as the connective tissues of the joints.
The steel mace is a unique offset weighted training tool, with the majority of the weight at one end of a long handle. It can be used for focused training or full body workouts. The benefits of training with this tool include: building strength, coordination, endurance, balance, core stability, body control, proprioception, improved cognitive performance in free-flow (quickness of thought/decision/response), fluidity, mobility, agility, understanding leverage, body unity, power generation, explosive power execution, rotational acceleration/deceleration, development of strong structural alignment, finesse, increased energy and focus, mindfulness, self confidence, infinite (intended and unintended) benefits to overall physical and mental health and well being.
